Alliance Private Capital Group LLC is a national commercial real estate capital intermediary firm that was formed in 2004 to serve the needs of investors, developers, commercial real estate brokers and other real estate professionals in the area of commercial real estate finance. Since our inception, we have originated and closed in excess of $3.5 Billion of commercial real estate financing throughout the U.S. and Canada.

Our sole job is to analyze a Borrower’s property and financing request, select the most advantageous source of financing with the greatest of prudence, provide solid underwriting, firm commitments, and expedited closings.

Mike Kohn, CEO

Mike Kohn was born in Montreal Canada in 1970. Under the successful guide of his parents, he was quickly educated in the field of Real Estate and Finance. He invested together with his parents in various Canadian and American assets.

After marrying and settling down in New York, Mike partnered with various real estate moguls in the US and Canada. These partnerships heavily invested in many different property types throughout and Mike assisted them in procuring financing for acquisitions and sales of various holdings.

In 2000, he founded a mortgage financing outfit and began to offer commercial loans and real estate syndication for many large investors.

Year to date Mike, together with his team, has been successful in originating over $3.5 Billion in real estate financing.


Alliance Private Capital Group LLC consists of a team of seasoned professionals. Unlike many of the other financial intermediaries, we pride ourselves with a team consisting of various professionals from many different backgrounds.

Joe Luban, Director of Operations


Mr. Luban joined Alliance Private Capital Group LLC in 2007 and is responsible for oversight of the transaction process including monitoring deal flow and client contact for APCG’s third-party accounts. Joe is instrumental in the underwriting and review process and has participated in excess of $100 million of executed transactions since joining the company including the purchase of a 665 unit portfolio in OH for $21.3 million; the $11.5 million refinance of a mixed-use portfolio in NY, consisting of 360 residential units and 69,000 square feet of retail space; and various other acquisition and finance transactions covering office and multi-family projects.


Prior to joining Alliance, Mr. Luban worked for a commercial real estate mortgage brokerage house where he was responsible for transaction management and involved in the entire commercial mortgage loan process. Joe was also an originator for a residential mortgage broker where he was responsible for a team of five employees that successfully originated and closed over $40 million in volume.

The Refinancing Group

The Refinancing Group attends to various responsibilities associated with refinancing into a permanent loan and will also provide Servicers and all other third parties any of their respective de facto financing needs. This group has been responsible for underwriting in excess of 25 various deals since Summer 2005 and closing on over $500 million of Real Estate financing.

Because these groups are mutually independent in nature, it allows productivity to flow through at full throttle, while not compromising on our standards

The Acquisition Financing Group

The Acquisition Financing Group consists of a CPA and other analysts with an extensive accounting/financing background. This enables them to ‘load’ and analyze the spec’s of a deal in a rather short period of time. The Acquisition Group is responsible for underwriting in excess of 100 various deals since Summer 2005 and closing on over $3.1 Billion of Real Estate financing.
